Get on the Light Nightclub guestlist
Light Nightclub does it right. From the very second you walk in the door you’re greeted by a pleasant assault on the senses. Chill vibes emanate from the clubs entry with just a hint of eager anticipation. Try not to get caught with your jaw on the floor when you see the beautiful and talented Light go-go dancers doing what they do best.
The club boasts out of this world performances with its state of the art sound system and visual effects. When confetti is raining down on you and your friends and you lose yourself to the throb of the bass, you’ll begin to remember why it is you came to Vegas.
One of our favorite features of Light Nightclub is its expansive and open dance floor surrounded by tables. Everyone is involved in the party and its easy to roam around and make friends. With an easy flow around the venue and three bars to pick from, you can make sure your cup is never empty and you never run out of awkward bar conversations. There is also a second floor which is a great spot to see the headlining DJ and not get swept away in the crowd.
When to use Guestlist or get a VIP Table
There are some inherent benefits of using the guestlist to get into Light Nightclub. It gets you and your squad free entry into one of Vegas’ premier clubs and can even score you a couple drink tickets. However if you and your crew want some real estate and/or bottle service you may want to do a table instead.
When to use guestlist- If you and your friends want to bounce around and check out other clubs as well or if you want to roam around the venue and not be tied to a particular area. Or if you don’t want to drop the minimum cash required to purchase the table.
When to purchase a VIP table- If it’s a special occasion or if you don’t mind spending the cash, a table could be the way to go. Tables are cool for many reasons–It’s your area all night, invite to your table or kick out whoever you want, have a designated area that you can call your own with your own cocktail server and security guy, have a bottle/bottles you can drink from to avoid spending money at the bar.
light Nightclub dress code
When in doubt, it’s always recommended to dress up. For men, every club in Vegas is going to be more strict than on the women (sorry guys!) Men should wear a collared, button down shirt or blazer, with slacks or nice jeans. For shoes, it’s pretty simple–no athletic shoes, boots, or flip flops. Dress shoes are a great choice or nice loafers with no logos.
For ladies the dress code is much more lenient. Flip flops and T-shirts aren’t typically allowed in the club. When in doubt, it’s always a good idea to wear a cute dress or skirt and high heels if you think your feet can handle the abuse.
If you’re fortunate enough to be in Las Vegas during the winter and you’ve brought a winter coat to the club, be prepared to check it. Some clubs will make you check your winter coats before you can enter. Not all clubs charge for coat check but the ones that do usually charge around $5. It’s a small price to pay to not carry a coat around all night!
How to get to Light Nightclub
Light is located in Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino at 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd. One thing that’s great about Light is its proximity to the self park structure. If you’re driving yourself or taking an Uber this is pretty clutch. Otherwise if you’re getting dropped off at valet you have to navigate through the casino and walk towards the self park past the slot machines and gaming tables.
Another reason Light Nightclub is awesome is the process of actually getting IN to the nightclub. The door is pretty chill and it’s not a huge process compared to many other clubs on the strip. But like all other venues, be prepared to go through security and have your personal belongings searched before you can enter.
What we like most about Light Nightclub
Light has many cool features that you don’t really see at other venues. The space itself is pretty open allowing you to float around and mingle easily maximizing your chances to network, dance, meet cool people, etc. The tables aren’t super isolated from the other guests making it one big party. The dance floor is huge and it’s right on front of the DJ booth giving you a great chance to be right next to your favorite performers. The bars are pretty accessible so it’s not a struggle to get a drink and theres a second floor which gives you a great perspective of whats happening in the club.
Another huge plus in our opinion is the ease of access. Some clubs make it a big production getting into the club or the club is so far away from valet or parking structures it might be a 15 minute walk through the casino just to get back to your ride. Light Nightclub is located conveniently next to the self park structure which makes coming and leaving that much easier. Also the security at the door aren’t as strict with dress code so oftentimes it’s cool to dress a little more casual.
Who you might see
One of the coolest parts about Light is the eclectic crowd it draws. Light has it’s collection of resident DJ’s including artists like Ludacris, Metro Boomin, T-Pain, DJ E-Rock, DJ Neva, Kid Funk, and Rick Ross. While Light Nightclub focuses mainly on hiphop, you still might get occasional EDM and trap performers. Because of Light’s unique vibe and collection of performers expect the club to be full of hiphop fans and general music fans alike. And remember, since it’s Vegas, you never know who’s going to walk through the doors.
